Our compassionate and nurturing intervention workers will provide emergency support to vulnerable children, young people, and families during both normal office hours and after hours. Our goal is to ensure comprehensive care in line with the right place model, creating a service that is reliable and responsive at all times. The responsibilities of the team include providing direct therapeutic support and intervention to parents, helping them build on their strengths and achieve positive outcomes in accordance with their childcare personal plan (CASP, CP&LAC). Our aim is to deliver quality services that enable parents with children identified as being in need to enhance and promote their child's health and development. This will be done in accordance with our statutory duty and in partnership with other service areas, agencies, and service users.

Your New Role

This job will bring new challenges, so we need staff members with a can-do attitude who are willing to go above and beyond for the young people and families in their care. Your ability to respond to crises and support families in strengthening relationships is crucial. You will also provide support to children in residential units who are experiencing difficulties, using your skills and training to provide therapeutic support and create a safe environment for them. You will be supported by management and will have opportunities to grow and develop. The role involves working with families in their own homes and communities, developing responsive and tailored support packages based on assessed and identified needs. You will work with family members and children to set realistic and sustainable goals for change as a member of a multi-agency team. The focus will be on building family resilience to improve long-term outcomes for children, young people, and their families, along with providing residential support to children and young people in bespoke emergency placements. This opportunity is exciting and innovative and will allow you to develop your skills in evidence-based practice.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Child-centred approach to care
Positive attitude to care
Previous experience within children's social care or transferrable skill role is desirable.
Full UK driving licence
Basic understanding of children's human rights and safeguarding is essential.
Experience working within a multi-agency environment is desirable.
Self-motivation and determination to grow and succeed together.
Enhanced DBS check (Update Service DBS' desirable for swifter onboarding)
