An award winning, global manufacturing business is now seeking an experienced Operations Manager for their site in Birmingham.
As Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising the day-to-day warehouse operations, driving improvements in efficiency and productivity.
Operations Manager - Responsibilities:
* Oversee the warehouse team, ensuring KPI achievement across inbound, offload, pick and pack and outbound
* Plan resource to meet the warehouse objectives whilst maintaining optimum staff levels
* Supervise team meetings, 121s. performance reviews and appraisals
* Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of all warehouse staff
* Manage contracts, RTW, bonus calculations and disciplinaries
* Review warehouse organisation and stock location to optimise efficiencies
* Implement 5S and maintain a highly organised and clean warehouse environment
* Manage stock integrity, review stock discrepancies, monthly stock reporting
* Work with transport to manage delivery performance / outbound marshalling
* Maintain a high level of H&S compliance
* Develop and recommend improvements to SOPs
* Weekly KPI reporting and data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
Operations Manager - Requirements:
* Proven warehouse management experience in a high volume environment
* Experience with WMS systems and ERP systems, SAP ECC or SAP 4 Hana highly desirable
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
* Demonstrates integrity, honesty and respect
* Consistent approach to warehouse staff, processes and general warehouse management
* Prioritise workload to focus on the most important tasks first
* Demonstrates ownership and accountability
* Uses initiative and approaches tasks in a considered way
