What You'll Do:
Assume a proactive “system engineering approach” to tasks, prioritizing based on the customer's feature requirements and specified detail levels.
Critically assess high-level feature descriptions to ensure clarity and alignment with handbooks, and compile feature functions across various bike types.
Carry out occasional hands-on verifications.
Complete tasks assigned by the customer, adhering to the automotive V model for system Engineering.
Perform feature description checks against new system architectures to ensure alignment, capturing any differences using the JIRA system.
Who We Are Looking For:
* Demonstrates good systems thinking approach
* Understands the MBSE process, levels of abstraction and able to provide guidance to others in some scenarios
* Owns and leads the definition of a defined group of product features
* Manages tasks, deliverables, timing and decisions for responsible features and identifies need for additional resources with support
* Identifies and provides multiple possible solutions to issues, ideally with preferred recommendations.
* Identifies key stakeholders and engages effectively with limited support
* Identifies topics for investigation, leads and directs research, shares and consolidates knowledge with wider team with limited support
* Provides support on technical topics to others
Skills:
* Degree in a related engineering topic
* 4 years+ automotive or electrical systems engineering experience, with 2 years+ in a systems engineering environment and with in-depth knowledge of specific area of operation (dependant upon role).
* Experience developing systems including the software, communications and hardware
* Limited experience developing products in line with automotive Functional Safety and Cybersecurity standards
Education:
* A degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Systems Engineering; or Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification/experience in a relevant field
