THE COMPANY
Our client is internationally recognised and award-winning in their field. Are you ambitious? Bright and seeking a challenge in a busy and professional environment? Our client, an established business based in Albrighton, requires an experienced Maintenance Supervisor on a permanent basis. The Maintenance Supervisor will play a key role in the day-to-day maintenance of machinery and equipment within the Production department.
THE ROLE
• Coordinate and prioritise preventative maintenance, planned repairs, and reactive maintenance
• Perform maintenance and repairs on small vehicles (including ATV and Mini Tractors), basic vehicle electrics, and tyre repairs
• Service and repair all production machinery (including conveyor belts, bandsaws, etc.)
• Maintain and service power tools such as hedge cutters, strimmers, and leaf blowers
• Purchase tools and spares within the given budget
• Maintain a healthy, secure, and safe working environment
• Implement and maintain a schedule for machinery/equipment maintenance, keeping accurate documentation and records of all work carried out
• Support the management team in purchasing new machinery and work with outside contractors on bespoke machinery repairs when necessary
REQUIREMENTS
• Proven ability in a supervisory role, preferably within a manufacturing setting
• Ability to work independently and manage a small team
• Good IT skills for purchasing/ordering requirements
• Mechanically minded with the ability to handle various tasks and learn about specific machines
• Competence in MIG welding, fabrication, and use of abrasive wheels
• Good organisational skills and ability to maintain a tidy working environment
• Forklift license preferable (training can be provided)
• Solid understanding of Health and Safety
• Flexible approach to work with problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work out of hours or at weekends when required
• Full driving license required
