Machine Minder - Food safe environment

Day shift: (Apply online only) & (Apply online only) (alternate weeks)
Full training given
Main tasks and responsibilities:
* Set up and operate specialist machinery and supporting equipment for use in making products for food packaging etc.
* Setting up and operating trim winding units.
* Reading job ticket for information required for the set up and running of production order.
* Identifying any defects found in production and communicating those to the team
* Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments, as necessary, during production ASAP to minimalize waste of raw materials and time.
* Ensuring the machine is operating in a safe condition with all safety equipment operational.
* Ensuring that finished product is properly documented and packed to provide traceability.
* Ensuring your work area is clean and safe
* Completing production paperwork.
* Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and experience:
* Experienced in machine operation gained ideally within a Food or packaging related, manufacturing environment
* Must possess the ability to read and understand the job specifications to properly ensure the finished product meets all customer expectation.
* Self-motivated and practical.
* Basic PC skills
Skills and abilities:
* Well organised, with ability to effectively manage own time and prioritise work
* Good attention to detail.
* Ability to produce jobs correctly and accurately first time.
* Good interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people.
* Demonstrates a flexible approach to changing priorities and the ability to work under pressure, turn around jobs within an agreed time frame
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Able to achieve high levels of accuracy
* To have a reliable, flexible, and systematic approach to work
