Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Highways Administrator to join Bradford Council on an initial 9 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Supporting engineers with their administrative duties such as processing documentation, logging information on the internal database systems, and getting approvals on order forms.

* Assessing and inputting activities on the highway into various electronic ICT systems

* Processing section 278 and section 38 plans on behalf of engineers

* Monitoring and reviewing works applications on a regular basis

* Receiving, reviewing and processing temporary order applications relating to works/events on the highway

* Providing data support in the issuing of invoices for highway licences, highway permits, and other charges

* Preparing data reports as required

* Assessing and granting applications to work on or near the highway in close relation to the Engineers in the department

* Providing day to day technical administrative support

Requirements:

* Strong administration experience, ideally within a highways or technical department

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* Able to work on own initiative
