Are you an experienced professional with a passion for managing HGV maintenance and repair operations? We are seeking a dedicated HGV Workshop Manager to join our team in Keighley. In this pivotal role, you will oversee our workshop's daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, efficiency, and safety.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure the workshop workload is prioritised effectively, meeting company quality and efficiency standards while adhering to current legislation, health & safety, and DVSA standards.
* Monitor and authorise replacement parts, ensuring all replacements are approved by the leadership team/manufacturer (Warranty/R&M) before repair.
* Ensure effective fault diagnosis and rectification of defects by the workshop team through coaching and mentoring.
* Manage workshop staff, ensuring productivity levels of engineers meet company expectations.
* Ensure all documentation is completed in line with company procedures and meets manufacturer warranty and R&M standards, submitting to central admin in a timely manner.
* Record and cost all sub-contract repairs correctly before processing invoices.
* Ensure adherence to company procedures, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
Requirements:
* Previous experience managing a mixed ability team.
* Experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to a high standard.
* Experience maintaining tight controls on costs.
* Experience completing service and repair documentation and records to required standards.
* Up-to-date knowledge of basic health & safety legislation and practice, and DVSA requirements.
* Ability to work effectively in a mixed office and workshop environment.
