Behavior Support Assistant

Milk Education are recruiting a Behavior Support Assistant to work in a school in Leeds.

We’re looking for candidates who are patient and nurturing and specifically someone who can help young children feel comfortable at school and be supportive of their needs. You aslo need to be able to provide 1:1 and group support for pupils who are showcasing challenging behaviour.

The ideal Behavior Support Assistant for this role would be a person who has:

* Experience of working with SEND children/vulnerable adults
* A warm and friendly personality
* Emotional resilience
* Proactive and flexible capabilities

As a Behavior Support Assistant you will:

* Set up and tidy classrooms for lessons
* Supporting the class teacher to deliver lessons
* Helping the pupils regulate
* Creating a fun and safe environment for the children to thrive
* Look after children who are upset or unwell

Non-negotiables:

* Must have recent and relevant experience working with children or adults with mental health issues.
* Be available Monday to Friday 08:30 - 15:30
* Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher
