The Recruitment Crowd are working with a multi award-winning, independent, leading manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Leeds City Centre.
Due to success & growth they are looking to add an additional Maintenance Engineer to their team on days covering the site’s production machinery & equipment.
Main Duties; list not exhaustive
* Deal with machine breakdowns to ensure that the site can maximize throughput and meet customer demand.
* Reactive, proactive and planned maintenance across a wide range of factory equipment to support plant uptime.
* Maintaining site services and facilities.
* Focuses on saving cost on maintenance work and contributes to cost reduction initiatives.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* NVQ3 engineering or equivalent
* Strong practical and legal knowledge of Mechanical engineering/maintenance
* Previous experience working within a Manufacturing and Production environment.
* Knowledge of packaging / labelling machines is advantageous but not essential.
* Maintenance to improve machine condition, improve product quality and reduce downtime.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Welding qualification/experience would be an advantage
* Able to read engineering drawings.
