Our client is European owned, high volume manufacturing business based in Sheffield. Due to restructure, our client is now looking to recruit a Plant Manager to manage and develop one of their UK manufacturing sites. This is a single site role but some travel may be required for off site meetings.
The Plant Manager will be accountable for all day-to-day site-based activities including Production, Warehousing and Engineering. The Plant Manager must lead by example, strive for results, challenge the status quo and improve best practice.
Key aspects of the role include:-
* Overall management of operational KPIs on site.
* Drive and maintain a proactive culture of continuous improvements & best practice.
* Identify KPI improvements and cost savings initiatives.
* Reinforce company leadership values.
* Develop departmental strategies.
* Coach and develop a cross functional team.
* Provide & share regular updates to the companies management team.
* Oversee and develop an effective organisational structure.
* Establish good collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders
With a headcount of around 100 staff, our client is looking to recruit a results driven plant manager with demonstrable experience in driving teams, implementing improvements and delivering targets.
Experience required:-
* Previous experience of managing multi disciplined teams within a manufacturing environment (3+ years)
* Demonstrable experience in implementing and improving processes
* Experience of working within a high volume/JIT production environment
* Strong leadership skills with a collaborative approach
