The Financial Analyst is an essential member of Manufacturing Finance Planning organization that responsible for Gross Margin management. The position plays a critical role in forecasting, actuals reporting, and analytical support for manufacturing cost & Inventory. The Analyst collaborates extensively with a wide range of stakeholders, including Corp Finance/Accounting, Factory Finance, Global Ops Teams, and Business Units.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide monthly rolling forecast, and annual operation plan for indirect product costs and manufacturing variances (OCOGS).
Conduct period end actual vs. forecast variance analysis, especially as it relates to manufacturing variances, reserves, and inventory capitalization.
Coordinate Inventory forecast and related variance analysis; collaborate with the supply chain team / BU teams to optimize inventory level.
Perform scenario analyses on company’s gross margin and inventory for strategic decision making.
Establish and maintain a pulse on the operational risks and opportunities to proactively report deviations to the forecast.
Collaborate with program managers and cross-functional teams to support new product cost assessments, cost reduction initiatives, and lean manufacturing or continuous improvement projects.
Drive standardization across disparate financial practices and consolidation methodologies.
Recommend and implement process improvements for forecasts, various metrics, processes/models, and reports.
Ad hoc requests assigned by managers.
