Position Overview: 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our Finance Department as a Payroll Clerk. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll procedures, exceptional numerical aptitude, and a dedication to maintaining confidentiality. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with our finance team and contribute to the smooth operation of our payroll function.
Responsibilities:
Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for all employees
Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies
Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed
Address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
Assist with payroll-related projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
Proven 2+ years of experience as a payroll clerk or in a similar role
Strong understanding of payroll principles and practices
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
