Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to manage various accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior staff. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits
Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
