Senior Grower Accountant

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented individual for a Senior Grower Accountant position. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to leverage their accounting expertise within the agricultural industry and take on a leadership role.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis.
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
Coordinate and complete annual audits.
Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
Meet financial accounting objectives.
Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the agricultural industry.
Proven experience as a senior accountant or similar role.
Knowledge of advanced bookkeeping procedures.
Familiarity with finance regulations.
Excellent math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software.
