Role and Responsibilities
We want an experienced and skilled Senior Analyst to join our growing team. The Senior Analyst will be a key contributor to our Finance department, working to operate, manage and continuously improve all financial/accounting operations including project management and other information needed to support our scientists and engineers.
Reporting to the Controller, this position requires solid analytical and communication skills, personal productivity, business sense, and a high degree of initiative and responsibility. Applicants will ideally have experience working in a project management environment and/or for a federal contractor using government accounting systems including GAAP and potentially Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS), and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly project reports for the Program Managers and Project Leaders, as well as ad-hoc financial analysis/special projects.
Responsible for set-up and maintenance of projects in the ERP system.

Maintain compliance with GAAP and Federal Government (FAR/DFARS).
Assist Program Manager in monitoring and managing cost performance against plans to ensure contractual cost objections are met.
Participate in PCI's financial and project forecasting process.
Prepare all financial reports required by government contracts.
Prepare supporting documentation for government billings.
Prepare documentation for external audits.
Collaborate cross functionally as a business partner to drive continuous improvement in reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis processes.
Recommend ways to improve accounting processes, reduce costs, and enhance revenue.
Understand key business drivers.
Requirements
BA/BS or MS in accounting or finance. CPA/MBA desired but not required.
Minimum of 3-5 years' accounting/finance experience; project and government preferred.
Self-motivated and proactive with strong analytical aptitude.
Ability to manage simultaneous tasks and projects, and to meet multiple deadlines.
Advanced financial modeling skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience working within an ERP environment.
Experience with project accounting, ideally including providing enhanced analysis and support for project/program managers.
Knowledge of techniques and methods used in avoiding and finding accounting errors.
Knowledge of government accounting and project/program requirements- FAR, DCAA, DCMA, OTA, R&D accounting, and SBIR/STTR.
