About the Role
In order to achieve its ambition of serving (phone number removed) Fellows over the next decade, Braven is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Salesforce Architect who will lead our team of Salesforce Developers and execute on the architecture, development, and optimization of our Salesforce infrastructure. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust Salesforce solutions that align with Braven’s mission and strategic goals.
This role is on the Systems team and reports directly to the Managing Director, Salesforce Development and Operations.
What You’ll Do
Manage & Collaborate (50%)
Manage and develop a team of full-time Salesforce developers and contractors to achieve group and individual goals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including those on the systems, strategy, design, and engineering teams to ensure cohesive development and strategies.
Work alongside Braven project scrum leaders to gather and analyze requirements for Salesforce solutions and ensure successful project delivery.
Strategy and Vision (25%)
Develop a comprehensive vision for our Salesforce data model and architecture in alignment with Braven’s strategic objectives.
Engage internal and external stakeholders, building consensus and alignment around the architecture vision. 
Develop and prioritize a Salesforce roadmap that balances the overarching vision with engineering, UX, and business constraints.
Establish and maintain a culture of strong documentation, ensuring that all Salesforce configurations, customizations, and processes are well-documented and easily accessible to team members.
Data Architecture & Technical Solutions (25%)
Execute the design and vision for innovative Salesforce solutions that align with Braven’s goals and adhere to Salesforce best practices.
Provide technical expertise to define data requirements and models, with a strong focus on data security, integrity, and clean-up.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of the latest Salesforce features and releases and incorporate updates into existing solutions.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
At least 5 years of professional experience as a Salesforce Architect with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex Salesforce solutions.
At least 1 year of professional experience managing sandbox environments and change sets
At least 2 years successfully managing and developing others
Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Data Architect
Experience in Salesforce development environments, including Apex triggers / classes, Lightning Web Components, Flows, Visualforce pages / controllers, and advanced Salesforce configuration such as Sharing and Profile & Permission Set security
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a non profit setting using Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)
Experience with one or more relevant tools that integrate with Salesforce such as Campaign Monitor, Duplicate Check, Excel/Google Sheets, FormAssembly, Mogli, and Tableau
Experience in Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, etc.) preferred.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Strong design sense when crafting data models, creating schemas that balance ease of use, efficiency, and data integrity.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
Strong collaborative skills with a clear understanding of how data and operations contribute to organizational goals.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional and strategically important projects while maintaining attention to detail in daily operations. 
Ability to thrive and lead multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment

Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position, which depends on prior work experience and our assessment of your demonstrated fit for the role, will likely be between $139,800-$174,700 in Atlanta, $147,000-$183,800 in Chicago, and $161,800-$202,200 in Newark and New York City. Braven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal and external equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead each salary offer is determined carefully using external and internal benchmarking. You will have an opportunity to discuss salary in more detail after you begin the application process.
Braven also provides competitive, comprehensive benefits, recognition, and career development. While Braven reserves the right to change benefits at any time, current benefits include: 
Unlimited vacation time in addition to org-wide holidays and week-long shutdowns in July and the end of the calendar year (this is a minimum of 19 days per year)

Location
We gather in the office at least 3 days per week (on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and often work remotely 2 days per week (although certain commitments might adjust that from time to time). Therefore, we require teammates to live within commuting distance of one of our hubs in Atlanta, Chicago Newark or New York. We believe in the magic, connection, and collaboration that happens when people work together face-to-face and we believe in giving people flexibility to focus, balance personal priorities, and save themselves two commutes per week.
