Job Description
We are seeking an Employer Stop Loss Assistant Underwriter who will be responsible for prioritizing and completing requests for proposals, analyzing and pre-underwriting new and renewal business for our Employer Stop Loss product.  The position is responsible for producing a profitable book of business working through select brokers, consultants, and reinsurance intermediaries. 
Review underwriting information, develop rates and terms for Employer Stop Loss accounts based upon underwriting rules, guidelines, pricing methodologies and account specific date.
Interact with brokers, consultants, and reinsurance intermediaries as necessary.
Compose, prepare, and generate correspondence, proposals and statistical reports as required.
Provide management reports and maintain key data systems as required.
Responsible for all aspects of account management and producer relationships to maximize profitability and meet service standards.
Works closely with AVP Employer Stop Loss, Underwriters, PULSE and Claim Examiners, to meet required deadlines, business objectives, and client service standards.
Review, finalize and issue Policies and Amendments
Assists with maintaining and updating underwriting manuals as needed.
