About the Role
Pong is on the verge of an exciting launch and is looking for an experienced and strategic leader to take on the role of Director, Human Resources.
As a member of our leadership team, working closely with and reporting to the CEO, your role as Director, Human Resources will be to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with Pong’s overall strategic objectives and growth plans. Additionally, as the sole HR employee, you will actively manage day-to-day people operations and champion a positive and inclusive culture.
As we grow, you will advise on organizational design and strategic shifts in business to ensure Pong’s ongoing success. You will work closely with the CEO to hire strategic roles, recruiting top talent for key organizational functions.
Your expertise will drive the implementation of reward, benefits, performance, learning and development systems, and talent acquisition strategies.You will create and implement programs, policies, and processes from the ground up to enhance employee engagement, performance, and overall experience while ensuring compliance requirements are met.
In this dynamic position, you will have a significant impact on Pong’s growth trajectory, evaluating scalability needs, and fostering cross-functional collaboration, high-performing teams, and empowered decision making to support the successful achievement of our business objectives.
This is an in-office role, based in New York City.
About You
You are a dynamic expert in your field with an entrepreneurial mindset and excel as a strategic advisor in fostering and leading a company’s people strategy. Your strong business acumen, emotional intelligence and intellectual curiosity allow you to bring valuable insights to the team and business. You have the ability to influence, coach, and develop effective working relationships at all levels.
You thrive in creating processes and functions from scratch, turning business needs into reality. With experience in startups and tech startup culture, you see the needs of both the business and its people as a company scales. You are an inspiring leader with a proven track record of driving people programs that ensure employees thrive and enjoy contributing to the success of Pong.
Your work experience shows you have at least 10+ years of progressive experience in senior people leadership roles, and you may have an MBA or a related educational background. You have experience building and coaching high-performance teams, and you operate strategically while driving execution and day-to-day operations tactfully.
You understand that the tech space is a rapidly changing environment, and you are capable of working independently and can effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines.

Competitive Base Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 based on experience
