We are seeking dedicated Psychology Postdoctoral Fellows to join our dynamic team in a supportive and collaborative private practice setting. This position is designed for individuals looking to fulfill state licensure requirements while gaining invaluable experience in outpatient psychotherapy. Our practice offers a blend of remote and in-person work, catering to adults with a variety of needs.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, provide 26-30 weekly hours of individual therapy, contributing to the accumulation of hours needed for clinical licensure.
Option to develop and lead therapy groups as part of the service offerings of our practice.
Diligently complete clinical progress notes, intake notes, and termination summaries for all clients.
Engage in both group and individual supervision to foster clinical skills and professional development.
The role offers the opportunity for both remote and in-office work.
Requirements
Completion of an APA-approved doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) and an APA-accredited internship.
Doctoral level written and oral communication skills.
Experience and training in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, psychodynamic or interpersonal therapy.
Must hold a limited permit to practice in New York state or be permit eligible.
A strong desire for personal and professional growth within the field of psychology.
Enthusiasm for learning the operations of private practice in a group setting that values support, collaboration, respect, and integrity.
Excellent clinical and organizational skills, self-motivation, and a proactive attitude.
Requirement to obtain professional malpractice insurance prior to starting.
