University Village is seeking a dynamic and engaging Activities Director / Life Enrichment Coordinator for our Assisted and Independent Living residents. The Life Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for the planning, development, organization, and execution of ongoing activities designed to meet the resident’s social, physical, and psychological needs. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Administrator, using independent thinking and decision-making.
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Plans and implements group activities
Evaluates residents’ abilities and personal interests. Provides crafts, music, reading services, bingo, exercise classes, and pet therapy.
Publishes a monthly calendar, identifying each activity by stating the date, time, and place
Provides evening entertainment on occasion for all residents
Plan and implement 3-5 group activities each day.
Coordinates and supervises students and other volunteers in the nursing home when applicable.
Cultivates a dependable, personal relationship to assess any social needs.
Requirements
Two years experience in activities OR a Bachelor's degree in a related field of study (i.e. Recreational Therapy)
State Recognized Activities Director Certification, preferred but not required
