GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Business Intelligence Architect/Manager (BIM) is a key leadership role in the Information Technology Department that defines and implements standard ETL processes, report visualization standards, refresh schedules, role level security standards.  They will be responsible for leading a team of developers and administrators to clean and model data for use in the development of new reports for both internal and external customers. Serves as subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge of the complete business intelligence and analytics delivery lifecycle including data ingestion, integration, warehousing, data mart design, quality, governance, and information delivery through reports to Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, HSE, Accounting, and the Executive teams.  
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  
 Organize and execute the daily backlogs of the Business Intelligence Team
Monitors, oversees, and holds employees accountable to performance expectations
Collaborate with all departments to provide actionable reports
Collaborate with development team to determine future development requirements and reporting needs
Through expert knowledge, translate high-level business requirements into data model designs (e.g., conceptual, logical, and physical), processes, and data assets that are well-defined, integrated, reusable, and trusted to empower analytics
Extract data from multiple data sources into dataflows to be used in creating models for reports
Conduct report inventory statistics, usage, scheduled refresh schedules
Make recommendations and implement approved architecture changes to improve overall performance
Maintain and organize the departmental JIRA Active Sprint and Backlog 
Full adherence to health and safety policy and procedures
Mentor technical developers in data architecture practices to propagate high-quality design, build, and processes to support the strategic data architecture direction
Lead complex support services with very little management input, including coordination of Data & Analytics initiatives, data warehouse application software support
Ensure daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations
Responsible for scheduling and approving supervised employee’s timecards and PTO requests
Technical Advisement of current and future DBA and JBID for internal promotion 
Demonstrate the role of a positive influence and change agent for compliance within our teams
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  
 Lead a SCRUM Team, and the SCRUM processes
Working knowledge of an organization’s core systems and their purpose including data assets, architecture, usage, and quality 
Ability to evaluate, develop, and implement leading business intelligence technologies and principles for data acquisition, transformation, integration, modeling, quality, security, governance, and visualization
Ability to analyze data and business processes (e.g., Operational, Financial, HR, HSE, etc) with business teams to develop requirements documentation
Ability to coach, motivate, develop, organize, engage, and retain a team of employees
Ability to visualize and document end-to-end business intelligence solutions based on data sources and analytic requirements for functional and technical business partners
Ability to champion strategic initiatives by identifying tangible project milestones with supporting tasks; identifying risks, dependencies, and prerequisites for an optimized workstream; managing expectations; and coordinating multiple teams to fulfill a common objective
Working knowledge of data modeling best practices (e.g., denormalization, star schema, snowflake) and data architecture constructs (e.g., data warehouses, operational dataflows, data marts, staging areas) to optimize analytics delivery and self-service discovery 
Working knowledge of ETL/ETL tools (e.g., DAX, M Query, and SQL Management Studio) and complex SQL programming 
Ability to manage enterprise-level vendor software upgrades by identifying, planning, and mitigating impacts on data repositories used for analytics and reporting
Able to communicate effectively with others
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, LICENSES & EXPERIENCE:
 Minimum of 10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Data Engineering disciplines in an enterprise IT environment 
Implementation and oversight of multiple enterprise data warehouses (custom-developed and vendor-packaged) in synchronization and support of organizational initiatives 
Implementation of integrated data model solutions spanning multiple subject areas and departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, HR, and Supply Chain) 
Optimization of data warehousing concepts including sustainability, performance, quality control, security, regulatory compliance, and data governance 
Working knowledge of database and ETL technologies, both custom-developed and vendor-packaged 
Experience conceptualizing, visualizing, and communicating complex solution designs with functional and technical audiences across all levels of the organization. 
Experience coordinating diverse project teams spanning business Subject Matter Experts, Developers, Database Administrators, Analysts, and IT Administrators

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent technical training and experience
