Hospice Quality Assurance Nurse, Part-time

Touchstone Health of San Antonio is actively seeking a qualified and experienced Hospice Quality Assurance Nurse. The ideal candidate is an experienced home health and hospice nurse with a background in leadership & quality assurance to ensure that our agency is adhering to both state and federal guidelines for quality control. Duties & Responsibilities:
Audits clinical documentation to ensure quality regulations and measures are being met.
Assists in the preparation and implementation of policies and procedures which meet Medicare, Medicaid, accreditation standards and state and local laws.
Participates in administrative functions related to quality programs/functions as assigned.
Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information.
Serves as a resource person to employees.
Assists in the investigation and reporting of any problem relating to patient care and/or policies and procedures.
Assists in the development of QAPI activities with appropriate data collection, aggregation, analysis, taking action and reporting of results according to Hospice's QAPI plan(s).
Conducts needs assessments using a variety of Strategic tools.
Delivers competence based programs for staff with a focus upon improvement of skills and retention of knowledge.
Prepares short and long-term planning and programs to address identified needs.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
Current and unencumbered license to practice as an RN or an LVN in the state of Texas
Minimum of three (3) years of hospice nursing experience
Experience in Quality Assurance preferred
Current CPR certification
Reliable transportation, valid driver's license with no DUI's, revocations, or suspensions in the last 5 years
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
