Requirements
Serve as the first-line responder for internal and external people operations inquiries.
Facilitate full cycle administration from pre-onboarding to termination.
Develop, implement, and maintain engaging new hire induction/orientation and employee recognition programs.
Manage health and welfare plans, including enrolments, changes, and terminations, to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations.
Liaise with immigration counsel on matters relating to employee work sponsorships.
Process leaves of absences for employees, ensuring seamless processes and compliance with policies.
Create and maintain precise employee data records/files and conduct thorough uphold accuracy and efficiency.
Stay abreast of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and recommend best practices.
Keep informed of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in human resources, and employment law.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the People Operations team and organizational goals.
 
Qualifications
Possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in HR administration, operations, or a generalist role in the US.
Have a strong understanding of HR best practices and employment compliance laws related to recruitment, employment classifications, visa sponsorships, and leaves of absence entitlements, etc.
Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees and stakeholders.
Exhibit a flexible and people-centric approach to work, with a high level of drive and ambition to contribute to the organization's goals.
Possesses excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Showcase outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in HR processes.
Proficient in MS365 and HRIS/payroll systems such as HiBob, BambooHR, Gusto, or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software.
Demonstrate tact, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential data with the utmost professionalism.
Have a genuine passion for clean technology and the future of electric aviation to align with the organization's mission and values.
 
Benefits
The wage scale or salary range for this position is between $70,000 - $110,000. In addition to the foregoing base compensation, additional compensation and benefits are available to employees and eligible family members (as applicable) including the following:
Bonus: Annual discretionary bonuses.
Equity: Ability to exercise company stock options
Retirement: Eligible to participate in the company's 401(k) Plan, with up to a 4% matching
Health Insurance: Employer covers up to 80% of the employee's monthly premiums on medical, dental, and vision.
Life Insurance: Basic Life/AD&D of up to $50,000 and the option to add on Supplemental Coverage.
Short-Term Disability: Up to 60% of your earnings for up to a period of 24 weeks.
Long-Term Disability: If your disability extends beyond 180 days, LTD Coverage for up to 60% of your earnings.
Paid Time Off: Eligible employees may accrue up to 120 hours per year (15 days) and may borrow up to 40 hours (5 days).
 Sick Time: Eligible employees may accrue up to 40 hours, per year (5 days)
Paid Holidays: 12 observed holidays, per calendar year.
 The Fly Club: up to $2,000 of reimbursement towards flying lessons to all full-time staff
