Role Overview:
The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in steering The West Valley Flying Club towards financial clarity and compliance. This full-time, exempt position is perfect for a finance professional who seeks the thrill of contributing to a unique sector while overseeing comprehensive Accounting functions, HR responsibilities, and ensuring our club thrives on solid ground. You'll enjoy the flexibility of remote work with the expectation of onsite presence at least once a month for engaging and collaborative meetings.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
financial management, including membership accounting, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, taxes, and licensing.
accurate financial reports and accounting statements.
journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
payroll and generate related reports.
accurate allocation of expenditures and maintain clerical accuracy across financial documents.
HR functions such as onboarding, offboarding, training, and benefits enrollment/management.
What We're Looking For:
Degree in Accounting strongly preferred.
years of Accounting experience.
in bookkeeping practices and the ability to guide others in these areas.
organizational skills and attention to detail.
in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
with QBO (QuickBooks Online) required.
understanding of Google Suite.
for working within the unique aviation club environment.
Physical Requirements:
with prolonged periods of desk work and computer use.
to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $120,000 – 140,000 DOE
