Electrical Installation Facilities Engineer

Are you an experienced Electrical Installation Facilities Engineer? Are you looking for a fab new opportunity?

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Installation Facilities Engineer for our manufacturing client in Burnley.

Working as part of the Facilities Team, as an Electrical installation/Facilities Engineers (EIFE) you will be responsible for planning, maintaining, and implementing risk based optimised strategies for site facility and infrastructure assets across all business units. Working in a team environment, the engineer will be involved in the day-to-day and strategical plant facilities maintenance, project planning and site improvement projects.

Working hours: 38 hours - Day shift - Mon to Thurs 7.30 a.m. to 4.15 pm, Friday 7.30 a.m. to 12.30 pm.

Salary: Maintenance Skilled Level 2 (£17.06) per hour (£33,710).

However, this offer may be higher dependant on skills and experience.

Liaises with site Facilities Manager to understand and establish site priorities.
Ensures all working practices conform to Health & Safety, current legislation and company policies and procedures.
Ensure site assets are compliant and always at audit readiness.
Pre-planning - able to liaise with external vendors to identify parts required for projects.
Undertake effective planning and prioritisation of workload wherever necessary.
Plan & Assist with the installation and set-up of new production cells and services.
Assist in the installation, set-up and commissioning of new production equipment.
Installations to consist of single and three phase supplies, lighting, data management, and fire alarms
Maintains site master data including minor works and single line diagrams (SLDs)
Ensures minor works inspection and testing documents support ongoing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR).
Support on-going compliance corrective actions.
Maintain site Solar network and seek energy reduction initiatives.
Maintain site Building Management System (BMS), CCTV, Site Compressors, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Air Handling Units (AHU), site back-up Generators amongst more.
Fault finding on assets related to site facilities and infrastructure.
Performing planned and predictive maintenance.
Monitor and maintain an appropriate level of spares for critical assets and obsolescence risks
Maintain the required standards of basic housekeeping and 5s principles
Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices operated by the Company.
Contribute to continuing improvement of the factory equipment and maintenance.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintain Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) work order database
Work to lean theory.
Ability to safely handle materials.

Experience/Knowledge

Previous experience of working in similar environment with similar role responsibilities.
Proficient in electrical working knowledge and understanding of installation processes and technology.
Previous experience of working towards improving and maintaining quality standards.
Knowledge of current electrical legislation.
Proficient with all types of industrial installation.
Familiar with planned and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

Must be a time served engineer (or have an equivalent qualification).
At least 17 IEE wiring regulation and part P installation certificate.
Inspection and Testing 2391
IPAF trained valid licence.
UK Driving licence is essential.
