Handley James have been retained by a well-established manufacturer of specialist products based in Blackpool. As a result of expansion, growth and continued development they have retained our services to source a Lean Operations Manager to join the team and work collaboratively to support the expansion of the business from an operations and lean perspective.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the following:

* Driving and improving operational performance to meet strategic goals

* Implementing and sustaining lean process improvements at a practical and strategic level

* Providing overall leadership across Production, Planning and Maintenance

* Establishing, monitoring, and improving core KPIs

* Improving the overall efficiencies of the business, with a focus on OTIF

* In developing and mentoring core team members

Currently an Operations or Lean Leader within a quality driven manufacturer, you will be experienced in improving an organisation but in a measured and consistent way. Ideally, you will have gained experience within an SME. You will be proven in improving OTIF and will have achieved this through employee engagement and development. You will be lean focussed and will be able to explain and implement lean at a practical level. You will be open, honest and transparent in terms of your core behaviours and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

As an expanding organisation and one that is extremely entrepreneurial, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and package of between £45,000 and £55,000 pension, and medical cover. Our client also operates a 4 day working week.
