The Powertrain Build & Test Engineering Operations department (PBTO) is on a digital transformation journey, looking for passionate people who can join our client’s vision in becoming a modern, data driven department. The vision is simple: Enable an integrated approach to planning and workload management for PBTO. You will form part of the team delivering this and driving process improvement which creates tangible quantitative and qualitative improvements for the business.

In your first few weeks in this Data Analytics Specialist role, you can expect to:

Lead and conduct business intelligence projects that help move closer towards our vision of a single source of planning and workload management truth
Work with groups of stakeholders to build a solution that meets their requirements and integrates into our existing framework
Help mediate cross departmental discussions to a common consensus on a best fit solution
Work to build out the agreed solution within our toolset and then oversee the roll out migration to the developed solution
Lead cross-departmental BI projects that contribute towards our departmental target of £100k of business value per head per year
To apply for this Data Analytics Specialist role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

Process Improvement
Experience & knowledge of working in an Engineering environment
Process improvement in both Engineering and Software environments
Data Analytics - Workato, Power Automate or similar (any codeless coding automation tools)
A good problem solver, with a focus on incorporating digital solutions
Project management experience as well as knowledge of both agile and waterfall methodologies
