Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative at Bulford Ranges, Wiltshire.

As the Training Area Operative, you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.

We are looking for someone who either has previous knowledge of working on the Defence Training Estate or someone who is keen to learn new skills and bring an enthusiastic willingness to learn, Landmarc will provide full training for the successful applicant.

You will be required to work flexibly over the course of a 37 hour working week. You will be required to work some weekends, this is reflected in our Variable Days Allowance.

Days of work - 5 in 7

Contract - Permanent

Main ResponsibilitiesRaising and lowering of flags

Preventative maintenance

Grounds maintenance

Forestry and maintenance works

Manufacturing targets

Equipment testing

Calibrating, sustainability tasks

Driving and operating fleet vehicles

To ensure that the Training Estate Facilities adhere to safe systems of work

Liaise with stakeholders

Use both IT and paper based systems to complete any relevant documentation

The Ideal CandidateKnowledge in H&S such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessment and safe systems of work

Have experience as a range/training area user

Experience of track and fencing maintenance

Have a full drivers licence valid in the United Kingdom and where required,

Ability to operate rural plant and machinery (holds valid certificate)

Knowledge off road driving and able to drive safely in all weather conditions.

An understanding of OS mapping system, map reading and navigation.

Ground work with a construction company
