Field Service Engineer

Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer looking to work for a permanent role offering further progression and development? Then we have the perfect role for you! We are recruiting for a successful manufacturer based in Dudley who are looking to appoint a new Field Service Engineer to the team.

Key Duties:
The key duties will be travelling to client’s sites throughout the UK, to deal with the installation & commissioning of new machines and production lines, along with the associated carrying out of servicing and repairs. Full product training will be given. (Some overseas travel may also be required, on very rare occasions).

Requirements:

Mechanical and Electrical knowledge and experience
Knowledge of hydraulic circuits
Experience with panel wiring, fault finding, PLCs
Ability to read electrical, engineering & hydraulic drawings
Ability to use measuring equipment accurately & basic hand tools, i.e. drilling & tapping
H&S training, including ability to produce risk assessments & method statements, working to company H&S/quality policies
Ability to work under instruction within a team & to work on own initiative to meet required deadlines
High quality of workmanship
Forklift Operator’s Certificate/IPAF would be an advantage, although training can be given
Full UK driving licence
Current UK passport
Ability to work across the UK and stay away from home on a regular basis
On Offer:

Very competitive salary dependent upon skills and experience (£30,000 - £44,000 depending on experience)
Contracted working week 37 hours, working Monday to Friday. There will only be very occasional weekend working requirements
Holidays 28 days per annum including bank holidays within the first year, increasing to 33 days in second full calendar year of service

Please note: Candidates will ideally live within a maximum of a 10-mile radius of the centre of Dudley, due to having to commence from company site daily, to collect works van, equipment and other personnel
