About the role:

As one of the school’s launchpad teachers, where our KS 2 learners work, you will be part of the team who provide a primary model of curriculum delivery and nurture. You will plan, assess, and deliver all subjects from across the primary national curriculum with an emphasis on practical learning and personal development. We are highly focused in this area of our school on giving the pupils the skills to become effective learners in Ks 3 & 4 and to understand their place in the world, with the strategies they need to access it successfully.

About you:

You will be a qualified (QTS/QTLS) teacher, ideally, with experience of working in a special education setting with children with social, emotional, and mental health needs and autism spectrum conditions. You will have experience of teaching Ks 2 pupils and an excellent understanding of the primary curriculum.

You will be adept at tailoring your teaching and lessons to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils.

You will be able to set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils as well as promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.

You will provide levels of care and support appropriate to the general needs of the children and those outlined in their EHCP’s and individualised plans.
