Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer / Systems Engineer to join our team at the Joint Air Defense Operations Center (JADOC). This role involves maintaining, sustaining, and modifying the Enhanced Regional Situational Awareness System (ERSA). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a range of modified COTS electronics equipment and sensors integral to the system's operations.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure operational integrity and reliability of the ERSA system.
· Perform routine maintenance and modifications of system components as needed.
· Diagnose and resolve issues with electronic systems and sensors.
· Collaborate with other engineers and technical staff to enhance system performance.
· Document system configurations and changes.
Work Environment:
This is a non-hybrid, 100% in-person position at the JADOC facility in Washington, DC.

Requirements
Qualifications:
· Active Secret Clearance is required.
· Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering (BAS-ME) or related field.
Additional Certification Information:
8140 451 – System Administrator Certification required within 60 days. Candidates without qualifications will be hired under 60-day conditional hire status in the absence of required certifications (A+, Net +, CompTIA Security + CE).
