Position Profile

This opportunity is available in Bavaria, Germany.

The role of the Key Account Manager (KAM) is to maximize proactively the full sales potential of the product portfolio on a defined territory, achieving sales and related performance targets. The KAM will take full accountability for the preparation and execution of strong key account plans and agree those with the management team.

For this role its crucial to work closely together with colleagues as well as building a network amongst the HCP landscape to positively influence sales potential, positioning of products and ensure effective implementation of peer to peer/advocacy programs.

Essential Functions

  • Develop, implement and review cross-functional key account plans for the territory based on the strategic brand plan and aligned with the management team. Present and discuss these key account plans in regular x-functional account reviews.
  • Deliver sales and related objectives against territory targets and contribute to national and team targets.
  • Develop a partnership relationship with External Experts (EE) and stakeholders by being an expert in the Jazz Pharmaceuticals Oncology products & relevant disease areas as well as local and national healthcare policy as appropriate.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance against business plan and deliver within agreed matrix of activity (effective account call coverage and frequency) and budget (appropriate use of promotional spend) as agreed with the management team.
  • Work with medical, market access and marketing to enable customer access to Jazz Pharmaceuticals support programs e.g. educational events, relevant symposia, peer to peer programs
  • Operational activities such as profiling (and regular updating) of key customers and accounts, accurate reporting of customer and business records into currently available CRM system
  • Willingness and ability to assist with ad hoc business projects as defined and directed by the management team.

  • Previous specialty pharmaceutical sales experience with a proven track record
  • Advanced account management skills that demonstrate business acumen and an innovative approach to projects & solutions that bring added value to Jazz Pharmaceuticals and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in working cross-functionally in a dynamic environment and having a strong sense of personal accountability.
  • Effective and persuasive communication expertise with excellent presentation skills

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

  • Life Sciences Graduate or equivalent, according to 75 AMG
  • Fully valid driving license

Description of Physical Demands

  • Responsibilities may require working outside of "normal" hours, in order to meet business demands.
  • The size of territory will necessitate appropriate management of travel requirements to ensure coverage of customers as directed by the management team
  • The incumbent must reside within the territory of their responsibility
