Job Title: TP137 Site Manager (M&E)

Job Description: NRL are currently seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to initially work under a civil-biased PC Site Manager before transitioning into the PC Site Manager role as the project moves into the M&E phase. This project involves extending an existing 400kV AIS substation, tripling its size for new customer connections.

Duration: 18-month project with a rolling 6-month contract starting from July 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely and on time.
Direct and organise site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Provide leadership and guidance to project delivery teams.
Interface with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
Maintain high standards in internal reporting and documentation.
Ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety, Environmental (SHE) Policies, and CDM regulations.
Manage and motivate a team, including subcontractors, to achieve project goals.
Produce and manage staff rosters, recruitment, and site inspections.
Maintain accurate records of site resources, materials, and plant.
Perform on-call duties and liaise with external parties regarding project activities.
Ensure quality control and safety standards are met.
Promote best practices in health, safety, and environmental management.Qualifications:

Full UK driving licence.
National Grid Competent Person NSI 6 & 8.
Previous TP137 or SR163 appointment.
IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS.
CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport.
HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate (desirable).
Minimum 8 years’ experience in the HV sector and 5 years in HV Substation construction.
Strong civil, LV, and HV knowledge.Physical Requirements:

Ability to navigate construction sites safely, including uneven terrain.
Capacity to perform repetitive hand motions, grasp, and type using office equipment.
Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds.Cognitive Requirements:

Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Ability to organise, prioritise, and solve problems under stress.
Effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy.Schedule and Work Activities:

50 hours per week (5 x 10-hour days).Rate: Outside IR35
