Our client in Southampton are looking for an established CNC Machinist ideally with both milling and turning programming experience however if you have experience programming online in just milling or just turning, please also apply.
Job Description & Main Responsibilities:
* To set and operate either a CNC Lathe or CNC Mill as well as potentially supporting another machinist on the other CNC machine if you have both Milling and Turning experience, to produce components to specifications.
* Programming online and developing and modifying CNC programs
* Reading engineering drawings and understanding ISO tolerances
* Identifying and resolving issues or malfunctions in the process.
* Performing routine maintenance on CNC machines.
* Working to safety processes and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
* Ensuring delivery dates / internal milestones are met set by the management team.
The Ideal CNC Machinist
* Will be confident in setting and operating CNC Machines - Mills / Lathes or both
* On-line programming skills on Mills, Lathes or both.
For the right individual there will also be an opportunity to learn offline programming too, so this could be a fantastic move if looking to progress your skills.
Hours: Day Shift 7.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Thursday, 2.30pm Finish Fridays.
Salary: £36,000 - £43,000 Plus company bonus.
