Draughtsperson (Mechanical)

Engage Talent Partners is working exclusively with our client to source and recruit a Draughtsperson based in Aberdeen.

The company operates in various sectors and you would be joining them at a very exciting time. The business has enjoyed a successful year to date with some prominent contract wins and has ambitious plans to grow further in the upcoming years.

The successful candidate will join an established engineering team to produce 3D models, assembly and detail drawings of the company’s wide portfolio range.  

Responsibilities:

Produce general arrangement, production and detailed drawings as well as parts lists of products both the companies and client products from in house and client provided information.
Assist in the development of engineering design.
Produce information in the form of drawings and specifications which allows the contracts, projects and production departments to perform their functions efficiently.
Assist with the development of custom design software and techniques.
Contribute to the continuing effort to reduce costs.
Carry out the maintenance of engineering data using data management software.

Applicants must have an engineering qualification and at least 1-3 years’ draughting experience as well as a strong knowledge of 3D modelling software. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be willing to develop within a growing team. It would be advantageous if candidates had the ability to assist in the project lifecycle and had an awareness with various draughting standards.
