M&E Manager

We Build Recruitment are on the lookout for a M&E Manager based near Dalgety Bay or in the wider Fife area. Preferably who have a background in a construction/fitout environment to join a growing business who have some major contracts and are continuing to grow.

The company focuses on a variety of areas including fitouts, M&E packages and can even bespoke manufacture fixtures and furnishings for their clients. Encompassing the whole turnkey solution for clients.

This role would generally suit someone that comes from an electrical background but has picked up some mechanical experience along the way. However it would still definitely suit someone with the reverse that had a mechanical background and have naturally found themselves picking up electrical work too.

The package on offer for this position naturally in alignment with experience however a general guideline is a maximum of £50 - £60,000 with a car allowance on top and a fuel card for your travels.

Job Role:

* Lead and coordinate electrical and mechanical projects in the context of Retail fitouts from inception to completion, including scheduling, cost estimation, and budget management.

* Assist the M&E procurement manager of necessary materials and equipment for Retail fit-out projects.

* Manage project staff, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring that each project team functions efficiently within the Retail environment.

* Ensure Retail fit-out projects are delivered on time and within budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing on budgets, and monitoring progress.

* Work closely with architects, surveyors, and engineers to review design documents and ensure project alignment with Retail fit-out specifications.

* Promote and maintain health and safety standards within the unique context of Retail fitouts, including conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with safety rules.

* Prepare detailed reports, including work schedules and progress updates, to keep Retail clients and stakeholders informed.

Skills and Qualifications:

* A background as an Electrician would be ideal even more so with the 2391 or 2394/2395 qualifications

* Experience in managing HVAC systems on a project

* NVQ/SNVQ qualification in a Construction Management discipline or willingness to work towards it through the continuous professional development plan.

* SMSTS and CSCS card
