£417 - £600 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience required for this position is 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 10 years.

The School and Role

ABC Teachers are seeking motivated Cover Supervisors to join us to work in our secondary schools in Northfield. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to engage with students, support learning, and contribute to the smooth operation of classrooms. The schools we work with are dedicated to helping to welcome and support new staff who join them. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in dynamic and inclusive secondary schools and is possible to lead to long-term placements. 

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
Implement pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task.
Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
Provide support to students with their learning as directed by teaching staff.
Liaise effectively with teaching staff and senior leadership.

Requirements

The successful Cover Supervisor will have;

Degree in Education or relevant field preferred.
Previous experience working with secondary school students is advantageous.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and manage challenging behaviours.
A passion for education and supporting the learning journey of students.
Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
