We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a National Contractor in Middlesbrough, Teesside.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of the construction project. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
This Freelance role for 2 months starting ASAP!
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction phases across the project
2. Analyse and evaluate project specifications to determine accurate quantities of materials and resources required.
3. Provide expert advice on contractual matters and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
4. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices for materials and services.
5. Prepare and submit progress reports and financial forecasts to stakeholders
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying
2. Commercial focused experience
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Strong attention to detail
5. Experience and knowledge of construction contracts and step downs to the supply chain.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
7. Fully IT Literate in MS Office
