SEMH Teaching Assistant (Secondary)
Location: Sunderland
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £70 - £100 per day
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to work with secondary school students in Sunderland. This role focuses on supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, fostering their educational and personal growth.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement effective strategies.
Help manage behaviour and promote positive classroom engagement.
Create a supportive environment that encourages student well-being and academic achievement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience working with SEMH students or relevant educational background.
Strong interpersonal and behavioural management skills.
A compassionate approach and resilience in challenging situations.
Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
