Platform Resourcing are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand their team by taking on a Quality Technician in Cardiff.

The hours are Monday to Friday shifts; Week 1: 6.00am - 2.00pm, Week 2: 2.00pm to 10.00pm and Week 3: 10.00pm - 6.00amThis will change as of January 2025 to a "223" shift pattern - It will on a 2 week rota. Week 1: 6am - 6pm, Week 2: 6pm - 6am

The pattern would be 2 days in, 2 days off, 3 days in, 2 days off, 2 days in, 3 days off and so on. If this is an issue, we would still like to submit your CV, along with your preferences as this is not set in stone as of yet.

Quality Technician Benefits:

Salary of £26,000, plus 10% yearly bonus (£26,000 in the 1st year) rising year on year as your pay increases
Salary of £32,066 (Inclusive of shift allowance)

Free Uniforms, free tea and coffeeQuality Technician Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for testing and analysing manufactured product in controlled laboratory conditions, confirming that the product delivers against specification.
Responsible for testing core materials, ensuring they meet correct specification.
Input all test results in the format required, ensure all documentation is kept up to date in an orderly manner.
Identify trends and highlight suggestions for improvement
Assist with and prepare operational KPI data for analysis
Monitor testing equipment performance to ensure process stability and control
Be an important influence in product and process development trials
Manage the laboratory keeping the workplace to a high standard
Able to highlight any quality issues to management in a timely manner
Support the Process Conformance Engineer with project work
Satisfy the business' Factory Production Control requirements against all standards
Any other reasonable tasks assigned by your managerProduction Operative Essential Experience:

Experience within a Quality based role in a manufacturing environment is essential
Can interpret test data and material behaviors
Can work diligently against standard operating procedures
Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to think logically and methodically
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively
Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems normally requiredPrivacy and General Data Protection Policy
