About the Role
Druid Hills Golf Club is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Golf Shop Clerk to join our team. The Golf Shop Clerk will provide exceptional service to members and guests by assisting with merchandise sales, checking in golfers, and performing administrative tasks. The Golf Shop Clerk will report to the Golf Shop Manager and work closely with other members of the Golf Shop staff.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Process merchandise sales, including handling cash and credit card transactions.
Ensure the Golf Shop is well-stocked and properly merchandised.
Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
Check in golfers and ensure accurate recording of tee times and payments.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping.
Provide information about club events, tournaments, and promotions.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
Prior experience in a retail or customer service role preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software systems.
Knowledge of golf and golf equipment is a plus.
Must be reliable and punctual.
Must be available to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays with occasional Mondays during tournaments.
