Job Description: Estimator - Commercial Team
Location : HQ in Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Working Hours : Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Reports To : Estimating Manager
Role Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our Commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, proposals, and quotations for construction projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction drawings and the ability to communicate effectively with sub-contractors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Construction Drawing Review : Analyze construction drawings and perform accurate take-offs.
- Quotation Development : Create highly detailed quotations, proposals, and cost breakdowns, clearly outlining the scope of work, cost components, and project timelines.
- Supplier Liaison : Engage with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain competitive and comprehensive quotations.
Candidate Profile :
- Industry Experience : Proven experience in the curtain walling and rainscreen cladding industry with a solid technical understanding.
- System Knowledge : Familiarity with Schuco, Aluprof, and Wicona systems is advantageous but not essential.
- Technical Skills : Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications with meticulous attention to detail.
- Mathematical Aptitude : Strong mathematical skills to ensure accurate estimations and cost analysis.
- Personal Attributes : Proactive, flexible approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
