Our client, located in the Vienna catchment area, is dedicated to producing high-quality prescription drugs for supplying them worldwide. The company owners are expanding its Austrian biotech manufacturing site dynamically with the aim of ensuring the long-term availability of its products and developing them further for the benefit of current and future patients.
As of now the company is seeking a hands-on, driven and experienced manufacturing plant leader to fill the following business critical position with growth perspectives:

• Lead and further develop on site the biotechnological production processesin terms of value streams and resource allocations
• Plan, head and support the bio-manufacturing teams (4 shifts) actively -including taking care of their resource requirements and resource gaps
• Guarantee for and control the production supply on site with yourthorough technical understanding
• Act on basis of your proven practical GMPknow-how (thus includes monitoring and developingits effectiveness)
• Initiate and lead strategical changes in themanufacturing processes (e.g. implementationof potential new and optimized technologies)
• Conduct financial analysis of manufacturing and product portfolio together with the relevant departments
• Support the site production managementby taking over well-defined production management taskswith direct reporting line to the "Site Head of Production (f/m/x)"
• Collaborate closely with all stakeholders within the company

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as biotechnology, biology, biochemistry or immunology
• Thorough and proven experience as a manufacturing lead in pharmaceutical API or DS manufacturing
• Profound knowledge of biotechnological processes (USP and/or DSP) and synthetic chemical processes
• Broad understanding of the manufacturing processes with a high level of practical expertise in GMP
• Good technical understanding of manufacturing equipment in Biotech and synth. chemical processes (USP, DSP)
• Excellent and empathetic communicator with convincing interpersonal skills
• Strong project management skills: able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ready to make decisions and implement changes
• High flexibility and agility: adopt new challenges and tasks in relatively short time
• Very good command of English (oral and written) and German (C2/B1 upwards - ready to further develop on the shopfloor)
