Gi group are proud to be working in partnership with a well-known food manufacturing company, who are one of the most well-known manufacturers in the UK, the company in question are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

Job Role:

As an Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be tasked for carrying out reactive, preventative, and proactive maintenance for all equipment on site. Maintaining a range of specialist machinery and equipment throughout our factory site including cyclical equipment

Typical Duties will involve:

Ensures production priorities are understood in order that maintenance works are carried out enabling orders to be met.
The accurate and timely completion of necessary documentation.
Carries out preventative maintenance and servicing of machinery and equipment
Reacting to breakdowns quickly to reduce downtime.

Desirable experience

A recognised time served apprenticeship.
Awareness and understanding of statutory requirements and legislation.
Experience of repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment in a controlled environment
Strong diagnostic, fault finding capability.
Excellent attention for detail
Have to be experienced in a manufacturing environment, FMCG experience would be advantageous but not essential
The ability to read advanced electrical / mechanical drawings on new machinery.
