Engine Control Function Design Engineer - DAF Trucks N.V.

• Work on control concepts as a result of H2 engine development and Hybrid application impact
• Develop Heavy Duty Hydrogen/Diesel Engines with focus on designing control concepts for engine related systems ( Cooling controls, Engine brake, EGR controls, OBD monitoring)
• Make sure the existing controls are improving to meet the customer demands and upcoming EU/NA legislations
• Create controller concepts based on new emission and OBD requirements
• Play a key role as an integrator between suppliers and PACCAR internal stakeholders to develop the control concepts
• Verify developed control concepts with SIL, HIL or RCP on an engine
• Unambiguous documentation of controller related requirements on engine system level
• Support calibration engineers with pre-calibration of new controller concepts
• Take initiative to constantly improve related tools and processes
• Collaboration in multidisciplinary project teams

Jouw profiel

• MSc degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering;

• Experience on hydrogen engine and hybrid control concepts
• Experience with engine and after treatment controller development, especially on EU / NA Emissions and OBD regulation

• Experience on Six Sigma related processes
  • DMAIC, Design For Six Sigma, FMEA, Monte Carlo
• Good knowledge of requirement engineering process;
• Knowledge of tools like Matlab, Simulink and DNG is a pre;
• Good English skills are mandatory and Dutch skills are a pre;
