Job Description
The successful candidate will join our dynamic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team, providing expert care in breast reconstruction. This role involves working closely with our oncology and breast surgery departments to offer a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, ensuring the highest standards of service and patient outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and techniques in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients seeking breast reconstruction, including those undergoing mastectomy for breast cancer or prophylactic procedures.
Develop customized treatment plans that address the individual needs and goals of each patient, ensuring the highest standards of care.
Perform a wide range of breast reconstruction surgeries, including flap techniques (e.g., DIEP, TRAM, LATISSIMUS), implant-based reconstructions, and revision surgeries.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists and breast surgeons, to ensure comprehensive care from diagnosis through recovery.
Engage in patient education initiatives, offering support and information to help patients make informed decisions about their care.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department through research, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
