Manufacturing Production Team Leader

Platform Resourcing are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand their team by taking on a Manufacturing Team Leader in Cardiff.

The successful candidate will have experienced within Production, Manufacturing or Engineering within a supervisory, management or Team leader role. The responsibility of this team leader will be to ensure that all orders are manufactured to the expected high standards, whilst also adhering to all Health and Safety policies. They will also ensure all KPI's and data reporting is completed accurately and on time.

Shifts:

Monday to Friday only, starting on 3-week rota of mornings, afternoons and nights (Week 1: 6am - 2pm, Week 2: 2pm - 10pm and Week 3: 10pm - 6am)
This role will change to a "223" shift pattern by the end of 2024 due to an internal uplift and new shift starting - this will go as follows: 2 days in, 2 days off, 3 days in, 2 days off, 2 days in, 3 days off etc. These shifts will be 12 hour shifts: Week 1 - 6.00am to 6.00pm and Week 2: of 6.00pm to 6.00am.Manufacturing Production Team Leader Benefits:

Average Pay: £19.73per hour including shift allowance as per below rates
Salary of £17.16 per hour for morning shift, afternoon shift paid at £18.88ph and nightshift paid at £22.31 p/h (Basic pay without shift allowance £37,477 with shift allowance: £41,048
Yearly 10% bonus of £3747 that will rise as your salary rises year on year

Free ParkingManufacturing Production Team Leader Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that all manufacturing quality is of the expected high standard, and the RDD's are met, and all quality paperwork is adhered to.
Continuously drive the team to maximise output
Instil cultural change to embrace ongoing improvements and efficiencies
Minimise labour costs when possible whilst achieving manufacturing needs
Organise correct utilisation of manning within the business as a whole
Ensure operator training is carried when needed and sign off completed on time
Continuously look to reduce scrap levels
Generate and implement initiatives that drive improvements
Ensure housekeeping is maintained and work areas are clean and free of debris
Ensure that the RAMS are explained and signed off by respective persons as required
Complete all data reports and KPI's to drive efficiencies
Conduct consumable stocks checks and make sure they are maintained
Manage employees in relation to HR related activities i.e. holidays / absence / lateness
Conduct investigations and disciplinaries as and when required
Work closely with the TLA to ensure all duties are always covered to the highest standard.Manufacturing Production Team Leader Essential Experience/Qualifications

Experience within a Manufacturing, Production or Engineering Team Leader/ Supervisor position
FLT licence preferable but not essential
Experience of managing team KPI's. sickness, annual leave and rota's
Competent numeracy and literacy skills - able to produce reports
Performance management, monitoring team's work
Good IT skills, including experience of using Microsoft programmes and SAP
A positive attitude towards continuous improvement
A willingness to be flexible regarding working hoursPrivacy and General Data Protection Policy
