CNC Machinist Required, Permanent Role, Park Farm based company, Mondy to Friday working, 37.5 hours per week. Starting Salary £28,000 per annum. This role can offer progression to that of a Supervisor
We are recruiting an experienced CNC Machinist to work within a small workshop for our client who manufacture bespoke machines. The ideal candidate will have worked as a CNC Machinist Operating, Setting and Programming CNC Lathes and manual machines.
The role itself will compromise of the following
Under limited supervision, machine standard and special components for bespoke machines that the company manufacture.
Machine parts using manual and CNC machines.
Keeping records of time and material used on jobs.
Support engineering and production with any changes to machine builds
Support with manufacturing parts for the research and development teams.
Some lifting (Between 10kg - 20kg)Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required are the following
CNC and manual machining knowledge with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
Have knowledge of working with Prototract, SLX, Siemens and Shopmill (would be an advantage but training will be provided)
Be able to read mechanical drawings.
Mechanical and Electrical skills.
Be confident in problem-solving and have a practical aptitude.
The ability to work as part of a team and display a willingness to learn and put skills into practice.
Excellent communication skillsQualifications Preferred:
Engineering apprenticeship, City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 (4 years)
