Your day to day duties as a General Operative are:
* General handling of steel products.
* Hand wiring of products to jigs in preparation of the galvanizing process.
* Operation of overhead crane equipment.
* Involvement in different parts of the galvanizing process where products are dipped into zinc to prevent them from rusting.
* Inspection of products throughout the process to ensure excellent quality products are produced for customers.
* Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
What we are looking for:
* Positive people with a can do attitude.
* Someone who enjoys working in a manual environment where heavy lifting is part of the daily activities.
* Someone who enjoys working as part of a team.
* Good communication skills.
* Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or galvanizing environment would be desirable but is not essential.
What we offer
* Shifts rotate weekly as follows based on a 37.5 hour working week:
* 2 shifts available 6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm

* Overtime is often available at weekends.
