Job Description
The Cook is responsible for grocery shopping and cooking lunch and dinner daily. The Cook also ensures clean cooking utensils, chopped ingredients and clean work areas.
Responsibilities
Checking inventory of ingredients daily
Acquiring ingredients not available in storage prior to the start of the day
Preparing ingredients by chopping vegetables and meats
Cooking lunch and dinner meals for clients based on set recipes
Monitoring food budgets to ensure all supplies are bought within the set budget
Making arrangements to store food items in a safe and orderly manner
Rotating food items as indicated in the kitchen rule book
Maintaining kitchen order by ensuring cleanliness of tables, counters and work areas
Overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils
Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens and grills for cooking purposes
Manage and rotate emergency food supply
This is a part-time position working 10am-6pm on Saturdays, possibly Saturdays and Sundays.
